Description

Contemporary approaches to the organization and teaching of mathematics in the elementary school. Teaching for understanding, lesson planning, and evaluation of mathematics learning, and appropriate remedial and enrichment experiences. References to curriculum material, syllabi, sources, and research reports. Students will participate in supervised field experiences.PREREQ: Either ECE 301 or BBE 301, ECE 416, or equivalents; a passing grade on the Departmental Mathematics Competency Examination; and completion of the Requirement in Oral English. Note: No student may receive credit for both ECE 404 and 322.
