An examination of the structure and operations of long term care organizations and institutions, focusing on issues affecting the management, financing, and implementation of long term care. Topics covered include policies and regulations related to the administration of long-term care facilities; human resources management in long-term care; marketing long term care; and the multidisciplinary team approach in the delivery of services to the elderly, mentally ill, chronically ill, and disabled.NOTE: Successful completion of this course satisfies part of the requirements for admission to the New York State Licensing Examination for Nursing Home Administrators.
