Description

This course will be an interactive workshop with lecture and in class computer activities to introduce students to the field of bioinformatics. The course will introduce students to bioinformatics tools being used in the analysis of DNA, protein, and cellular activities. Students will learn how to apply bioinformatic analyses to develop testable hypotheses for new research avenues.Prerequisite: Genetics (BIO 238), Biological Chemistry (BIO 400 or CHE 446), and Molecular Biology (BIO 420).
