The Language Center

The Language Center, located in Carman Hall Room B-37, is a dedicated space for language learning and cultural exploration. Designed with flexibility and accessibility in mind, the Center accommodates up to 28 individuals with modular seating that can be easily rearranged to support a wide range of language- and culture-related events and activities. A dedicated workstation ensures wheelchair users have a fully accessible and integrated space in any configuration. Complementing the main area, a comfortable lounge with sofas provides a welcoming setting for informal study and conversation.

The Center supports a variety of activities, including tutoring, cultural events, film screenings, study abroad information sessions, and more. It is equipped with five laptops featuring Antidote software, a HyFlex classroom system, wireless internet, and headsets available upon request. A variety of language-learning resources—including board games, books, and online tools—are available to students, faculty, and staff.
