Alternative modes of thought and expression that have sought to transform the field. Skills necessary for the Major, including attention to textual language and its contextual relations; inquiry-driven, argument-centered writing; engagement with scholarship or theory. Individualized and/or collaborative projects designed to explore students’ relationship to the discipline.NOTE: This course should be taken early in the major, as soon as possible after declaration of the major.NOTE: Non-majors/minors who wish to take this course should see an English advisor for permission.PREREQ: Declared English Major/Minor
