Summer Oceanographic Research Cruise

Description

(Between spring and summer sessions.) Study of 3 oceangraphic regimes: estuary, sound, and open ocean. Students will learn contemporary techniques by gathering and analyzing hydrographic, biologic, and geologic datdata from a series of stations in each of the three regimes. The entire instructional program will take place on board the CUNY OCeangraphic Research Vessel. The student will live on board ship for 10 days. Analysis and reporting data on board ship will constitute a lab notebook to be turned in at the end of the cruise.PREREQ: Either GEO (BIO) 332 or BIO 335. NOTE: Students should consult either Department before registering for this course.
