This course is designed for students interested in the social sciences. Topics covered will be selected from elementary probability, theory of gambling, random walks, game theory and linear programming. Emphasis is placed on a descriptive treatment of mathematical material and its application to the social sciences. PREREQ: Either three years of high school math or MAT 172. Note: MAT 300 may not be counted toward the MAT major.
