Origins and evolving definitions of the concept of human rights, the role of art and literature in developing empathy, and the impact of “real” vs. “invented” narratives in support of human rights movements.NOTE: Non-majors/minors who wish to take this course should see an English advisor for permission.Prerequisite: Declared English Major/Minor.
